Our cattery
In our cattery, the kittens are raised in a pleasant and familial environment. One or two week before giving birth, the mother is placed in our bedroom. All our kittens are born in our bedroom, so we can devote all our attention to the mother and her kittens. In that way, the mother can give birth in a safe and calm environment. The kittens are raised in our bedroom for 4-5 weeks. During the day, we and our children, spend time with the mother cat and kittens for human contact and socializing and to make sure they are feeding properly and growing well.
We are a small cattery, and only breed a few cats at a time so that we can devote all the attention to their needs in order to become happy, well adjusted and well socialized. PassionBengal not only emphasizes the great quality of our Bengals, but also their health, well-being, and good temperament. We take pride in producing well socialized, friendly cats and kittens.
Our stud has a great enclosure in our basement where he is visited often by the family and the household pets (including a retired queen). We put his stud pants on so he can visit his females and his babies upstairs when kittens are old enough. Immuk is friendly and gentle with the babies.
Our cattery is in the mezzanine---it's a sunny second story loft in our home surrounded by sunny windows. It’s a place that permits the cats and kittens to see all the activities and hear all the noises and become well adjusted to the noise and activities of the house. In that way, it facilitates their adaptation to a new house and family. Our children and us, play often with the kittens. After they have been dewormed and vaccinated, we introduce them to the other cats of the cattery and even our two family dogs. Our dogs are a Golden Retriever, named Goldie and an American Cocker, named Maya.
We introduce the kittens to the cattery at 4-5 week. We place them in a nice enclosure just outside our bedroom where they begin their litter box training. We introduce them gradually to high quality solid and canned food. We choose a grain free food--- i.e. without oat, corn, wheat, barley …
